An upgrade to Michigan’s lottery sales system will shut down terminals for 11 hours on Sunday.
Officials say the update has been in the works for the past year, spearheaded by the state’s gaming system partner, International Game Technology. New equipment has been provided to retailers across the state.
That equipment will be hooked up Sunday between midnight and 11:00 a.m.
During that time, lottery sales at retailers and self-service machines will be suspended. Players will be able to buy tickets online at MichiganLottery.com and use the Lottery’s mobile app; however, the ticket scanner feature of the app will be unavailable.
