Michigan Airports Receive Financial Support

Michigan legislators have secured $256 million through the CARES Act, for Michigan Airports.

The money will be used to help airports throughout the state deal with the loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor Whitmer thanked congressional leaders for securing the funding.

Upper Peninsula airports which will receive funding include Delta County Airport in Escanaba,  Houghton County’s Memorial Airport in Calumet and Chippewa County International Airport in Sault Ste. Marie.

Each airport will receive $1 million.
