MI-TRALE announced that effective July 31, 2017 the section of the Pioneer Trail located between the Norwich Road and Victoria Road will be temporarily closed due to construction. Don Helsel stated “The temporary closure is required to ensure the safety of our riders and the construction crew. The closure is expected to be in affect through the end of October.” MI-TRALE asks that all riders respect this closure and use the established detour. A signed reroute is in place that uses the “VC” trail as a detour. This is a very scenic route with many changes in elevation for the riders to enjoy.
Each end of the trail closure has a map showing the detour route.
