Men’s Health Tune-Up set for October 15

Men's Health Tune-up 2016HANCOCK – UP Health System – Portage is proud to once again be reaching out to the men of the Copper Country with its sixth annual Men’s Health Tune-Up. The event will be hosted at Hancock High School from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
“This is a great opportunity for the men of the Copper Country to learn more about their health,” said Angela Luskin, community health coordinator at Portage Health. “We provide a comfortable atmosphere, and a passionate crew of experts that are eager to provide assistance and advice.”
Breakfast and coffee will be served and informative educational sessions focused on men’s health issues will take place. Participants can also undergo health screenings including a cholesterol panel (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides), blood glucose, and blood pressure. Those who wish to have their blood drawn for screening should fast 12 hours prior to the event.
Those who participate in the health screening will be able to receive their results before noon and will be able to discuss their results with a physician on-site.
Registration is currently open at portagehealth.org/menshealth.
