A memorial for a beloved local musician and chef is being planned for this weekend.
66-year-old Ken Steiner of Houghton passed away on New Year’s Day at U.P. Health System—Marquette following complications resulting from heart surgery.
Steiner worked as a cook at several locations and was a volunteer for Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.
But he was also a lover of music, so the Ken Steiner Memorial Jam Session is being held Friday evening at the Rozsa Center.
Musicians who would like to take part in the memorial are being asked to come forward.
