Marquette to Allow Marijuana Retail

Marquette will allow retail marijuana sales within the city.

Members of the city commission last night did place some restrictions on where facilities may be located – keeping them at arm’s length from residential zones, schools, churches and licensed substance abuse centers.

The ordinance will take effect March 1st, 2020, after the city planning commission sets guidelines and fees, and reviews applications.
