A march to protest the separation of families at the border is planned for tomorrow.
The Keweenaw March to Support Immigrant Families will be held in conjunction with other marches planned around the country.
Organizers say the goal is to end zero tolerance, baby jails, family detention and to support the reuniting of parents and children.
Participants will gather at 3pm at the old railroad station on the west of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge on the Houghton side and then march across the bridge and back.
Organizers encourage people to bring their own signs and say they are committed to being peaceful, acting lawfully, and de-escalating any potential confrontations.
