Makinen Says This Is His Last Term

Houghton County Prosecutor Michael Makinen says this will be his last term.

Makinen was reelected following a campaign that saw him pitted against former county prosecutor Doug Edwards.

Makinen said the campaign was tough because he’s not able to publicize why certain decisions are made as a prosecutor.

Makinen said his decision not to run four year years from now is essentially etched in stone.
