Work continues to repair roads damaged in last summer’s Father’s Day Flood. Construction is scheduled to start today on M-26 at Forsman Road in the Mason area.
M-26 will be reduced to one lane, controlled by flaggers or temporary stoplights. Forsman Road will be closed, with a detour posted.
Houghton County crews working under Michigan Department of Transportation oversight will reconstruct the road, improve drainage, and replace a storm sewer crossing.
The project is expected to take about a week.
