Construction at two Michigan Department of Transportation flood repair projects in Houghton County has finished for the season.
All lanes are now open on the M-203 bridge over Swedetown Creek north of Hancock and on M-26 at the culvert over a tributary of Gooseneck Creek near Dollar Bay. Both structures washed out after major flooding hit the area on June 17.
Traffic had been maintained in alternating directions with temporary traffic signals.
Additional work will be completed in the spring at both construction sites. The projects are expected to be finished by mid-June.
MDOT is investing a total of about $3 million to replace the M-203 bridge and the M-26 culvert.
