Low-Income Energy Conservation Initiative Pilot Program Announced

Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) and Superior Watershed Partnership’s (SWP) Energy Conservation Corp have partnered on a pilot project that is aimed at delivering energy efficiency measures to qualifying low-income customers. The pilot project is intended to deliver energy conservation services consisting of education, installation of energy efficiency products, and recommendations for additional energy waste reduction savings.

“This partnership enhances our existing energy efficiency program and complements the work that is currently being done by CLEAResult, Inc. and Michigan Community Action,” said Brett French, UPPCO’s Vice President of Business Development and Communication. “By working together, UPPCO and SWP are leveraging their local presence and expertise, while collaborating on a shared vision that is focused on delivering additional cost-effective energy conservation measures for low-income customers.”
