Copper Country Intermediate School District Board Treasurer Robert Loukus has retired. Board members accepted his decision with regret at Tuesday’s meeting.
Loukus had spent seven years on the CCISD Board, after serving for a dozen years on the CLK Board of Education.
Anyone interested in applying for the open position should contact the CCISD office. The board hopes to name a replacement at next month’s meeting.
Also on Tuesday, the board adopted the ISD’s COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan.
Members accepted the resignations of Health Careers Teaching Assistant Mona Erickson and System Engineer Mark Nordin. Brian Mathewson was hired as a custodian and iInstructional Aide for Welding.
The 2020-2021 school calendar was adopted. A contract to replace the furnace in the Career and Technical Education Center was awarded to RC Mechanical of Hancock.
