Local Run/Walk Helps Global Effort To Provide Clean Water

Local residents are invited to join in an effort to provide for clean water for everyone.

The Global 6k for Water takes place on May 19th, starting at 9:00am at Hope Fellowship church in Houghton.

Proceeds from each registration for this special walk/rum event helps provide life-changing clean water for one-person.

6K is the average distance that people in the developing world have to walk for water (which is often contaminated with life threatening diseases), then carry it back to their family.

At the halfway point of the event, participants will have the option to pick up a jug of water and carry it back to the finish to better understand what these people go through.

There is no deadline to register. You can even register the morning of the event at Hope Fellowship.

Registration also provides a Global 6k T-shirt and finisher medal.
