Local Hockey Officials Needed

There is a need for ice hockey officials in the local area. If you love the game, are willing to learn and have some skating ability, you are a prime candidate.

You can find information regarding becoming an ice hockey official at michiganreferee.com.

The steps needed are also listed on the official’s page of the calumethockey.org website.

The required seminar held locally is October 7, at the Calumet High School.

There are also seminars in Marquette October 8, Escanaba – Oct. 14; Iron Mountain – Oct. 15 and St. Ignace – October 21st.

The USAHockey.org site may not allow sign up for a seminar online for youth 13 and under due to child labor laws in some states. If that is the case send your name and email to Eric Froberg, the District 8 referee-in-chief at d8michiganric@gmail.com.

Any further information they may contact Calumet Hockey Assn Assignor Marc Norton at refassign@charter.net or 337-1300 during business hours.
