The Portage Lake District Library invites everyone who loves to hear stories that are close to home for an evening with local author Kristin Neva on Tuesday, November 27 at 6:30pm.
Neva will read from her newly released third novel, Across the Bridge, and share how her writing process was different for this book. Whether you’re interested in the craft of writing, or curious about fiction set in the Keweenaw, you’re invited to join the discussion.
In Neva’s new novel, Across the Bridge, Copper Island’s beloved characters are back. Widower Drew Smith and his son, AJ, move to Quincy and rent the lower flat from Marcella Seppa. She offers support and friendship when Drew’s world turns upside down, but the pain of losing her mother at a young age keeps her from getting too close. Love weaves its way through the messiness of life in this meaningful story.
All library events are free and everyone is welcome. For more information on the program, please call the library at 906-482-4570.
