The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country celebrates their 100th birthday today.
The celebration takes place at the Portage District Library in Houghton at 11am.
Cake and activities are available.
You can also pick up voter registration forms and absentee ballots.
Celebrations like this, are taking place all across the U.P.
2020 also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.
Darlene Allen of Marquette, stressed the importance of voting.
