Leadership Change At Range Bank

Houghton, MI:   Range Bank is pleased to announce that after 11 years as the Community Bank President in the Copper Country Region, Tim Baroni will be retiring on June 30th of this year.

“Tim has been a crucial part to the success of Range Bank in the Copper Country,” stated Ken Palmer, CEO of Range Bank. “While we will miss seeing Tim on a daily basis when he retires, we are pleased that he will remain as a Range Financial Corporation board member.”

Tim was a bank director when Range Bank purchased the First National Bank of Calumet-Lake Linden and in January of 2006 became the Community Bank President overseeing the Range Bank offices in Houghton, Lake Linden and Calumet and their 20 employees.

Within the community Tim is the Finance Chair of the Portage Health Foundation Board of Directors, the Chairman on the UP Health System Portage Board of Directors and he is also a Director for the Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center. Tim and his wife Nancy reside in Mohawk, MI.

Range Bank will be hosting an open house at our new Houghton office to celebrate Tim’s retirement on Tuesday, June 20th from 10-3pm. Refreshments will be provided and the public is invited to attend.

Range Bank Promotes Jamey Markham

Houghton, MI:   Range Bank’s Board of Directors have named Jamey Markham to the role of Community Bank President of the Copper Country Region effective July 1, 2017. Markham has been with the bank for over 15 years and has helped grow the Copper Country market significantly during that time.

“We are proud to have Jamey step into the role of Community Bank President for the region”, stated Ken Palmer, CEO of Range Bank. “Tim Baroni, the current Community Bank President, and Jamey have worked closely together over the past 11 years and we are confident that Jamey will continue to grow the Copper Country region during his tenure.”

Jamey, a lifelong Copper Country resident, joined the bank in June of 2002 and has over 17 years of banking experience.   He is a graduate of Michigan Tech where he earned his BSBA in Finance and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He will oversee the Houghton, Lake Linden and Calumet Range Bank offices and employees.

Within the community Jamey is on the advisory board for Michigan Tech’s Applied Portfolio Management Program, member of the Houghton Rotary, Finance Committee member for the Portage Health Foundation and a volunteer coach for the Copper Country Junior Hockey Association and Portage Lake Little League.  Jamey and his wife Liddy live in Houghton with their six children.

“We have seen significant growth for Range Bank and the Copper Country in recent years,” Jamey said. “Our new Houghton Office that opened in January of this year is a modern office designed to better serve our customers.  Our intention is to continue that strong growth through great products, outstanding personal service and always doing what is in the best interest of our customers,” stated Jamey.
