Laurium to Transfer Records to KNHP

Laurium will move many of the village’s heritage records to the Keweenaw National Historical Park.

The village hall basement holds documents and tax rolls dating back to the town’s founding in the 19th century.

Last night, the village council agreed to have the park store and preserve the documents, and display some of the most significant.

The council also agreed to have Bassett Mechanical do a maintenance check at the George Gipp Arena. Tom Sturos was reappointed to the Laurium Housing Commission.
