L’Anse Middle School is getting a new science teacher.
At this week’s board of education meeting, trustees accepted the resignation of Rachel Wilber. Wilber is leaving to pursue additional education. The board hired Dawn Carlson to take over the position.
L’Anse bus driver Bill Connor was recognized as the district’s Employee of the Month.
Superintendent Susan Tollefson also told us that the district is seeking applications for members of the Baraga County Public Library Board. The library is administered and hosted by the L’Anse district.
Those interested in applying can deliver a letter of interest to Tollefson’s office, or the library.
