L’Anse to Proceed with Bendry Street Project

L’Anse will proceed with repaving one of the most badly deteriorated sections of residential road in the village, even though the price will be higher than anticipated.

At last night’s meeting, Village Manager Bob LaFave said the low bid for smoothing out Bendry Street from Main Street around the corner to Third Street was $157,971.90…

Payne and Dolan submitted the low bid, and hopes to be able to do the project in the first week of October. Village crews will also upgrade sidewalks and drainage in the area.

The village also contracted with Payne and Dolan to perform some utility installation on Elsie and George Streets. That project should also be completed by late October.
