L’Anse Schools Go Online Today; Baraga Schools Extend Home Study

All L’Anse School District students will study from home beginning today.

In a letter to parents yesterday, school officials said classes will be taught online, assignments will be given and graded, and attendance will be taken.

The suspension of face-to-face activities will last at least through the Thanksgiving break.

Baraga students will also remain out of class until at least November 30th.

In a social media post, Superintendent Rich Sarau said the decision to extend the COVID-19 pause that was already in place was difficult, but the right thing to do, in an effort to try to bring down Baraga County’s rising COVID-19 numbers.
