L’Anse Farm Market Construction on Fast Track – Village Council Report

Construction on the new home of the L’Anse Farmers Market could begin as early as this week.

At last night’s council meeting, Village Manager Bob LaFave said that, with some help from Mother Nature, much of the work could be finished before December…

Roofing and electrical will be a springtime item.

The new market is being built at Meadowbrook Field.

The council selected Bay Electric to wire up a new generator that is expected to arrive soon. The generator will provide backup power for the sewage lift station on Bayshore Drive. Bay Electric submitted a low bid of $20,900.

Councilor LeAnn Davis thanked all those who made the village’s Boo! On The Bay event on October 13th very successful…

And I also would like to say I appreciate that the downtown people have decorated for Halloween, and the people in the town – I don’t know when I’ve seen so many decorations for Halloween at people’s homes, and I appreciate that.

The Meadow Evil Haunted House will be open again this weekend at L’Anse’s Meadowbrook Arena. A tame edition will operate Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 until 8, with the scary version running from 8 until 11.
