Beginning September 1st, the fishing piers on Henry Lake in the Bessemer Ranger District, in Ottawa’s National Forest will start being replaced.
Work will take place on weekdays only and last throughout the month.
The piers at the popular fishing destination have been deteriorating over the past few years and the time has come to replace them.
Work to be done includes removal of the old piers, piling placement and will also feature new, floating piers.
During construction, existing docks will be closed for the safety of visitors and construction workers.
The boat launch will remain open, although access may be delayed or limited due to construction equipment and materials.
