UPDATE: The Ocean Navigator arrived in Houghton at 7:15 Friday morning.
The first cruise ship of the summer will arrive in Houghton today (Friday).
American Queen Voyage’s Ocean Navigator will dock near Roy’s Pasties and Bakery this morning.
Around 200 passengers will explore the area until the ship departs at 4:00 this afternoon. Some can choose to explore the waterfront and downtown on foot. The company has also arranged for some longer excursions.
The Ocean Navigator is 286 feet long. This will be the first of two visits it makes to our area this summer.
Those aboard are enjoying a 16-day trip that began and will end in Chicago.
