The Keweenaw Community Foundation has awarded three local students with scholarships, to help further their education.
The KCF Granting Committee and their Board of Trustees awarded the Ronald and Lou Ellyn Helman Scholarship, valued at $700 to Katherine Jaszczak and Gabrielle Roberts.
Jaszczak is attending Saginaw Valley State University, pursuing a career in nursing, and Roberts is at Lake Superior State University, pursuing a career in specialized nursing.
Tyler LaMahieu was awarded the Alec Fisher Scholarship, valued at $1,000.
LaMahieu attends Michigan Tech, studying Environmental Engineering and Management Information Systems.
