Houghton, MI – Join Isle Royale National Park aboard the Ranger III for summer 2017
Keweenaw Waterway Cruises.
Scheduled cruises will occur on:

- Thursday, July 20
- Thursday, August 10
- Thursday, August 24
All cruises depart at 12:30 pm from the Isle Royale National Park Houghton Visitor Center. Passengers must arrive by 12:00 pm for check-in. Cruises last between 2.5 to 3 hours and will travel south along the Keweenaw Waterway to the South Entry, venturing a short distance into Keweenaw Bay if conditions are pleasant, before returning to Houghton. Refreshments will be available at the Ranger III Grill, and passengers should bring a light jacket to protect against wind and chill.
New for 2017, during the first half of the voyage, a park ranger will present a tour of the waterway, its history, geology, and connection to Isle Royale.
Due to popularity, advance reservations are recommended. Reservations can be made Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Call (906) 482-0984 or stop by the Houghton Visitor Center. Ticket prices are $20.00 for adults, $5.00 for youth (age 1-15), and infants under one year receive a free ticket. The 165 foot Ranger III, piloted by Captain Rand Attaway, with a crew of nine, can carry up to 128 passengers.
