Keweenaw Pulse T-Shirt Sale Supports Domestic Violence Victims Shelter

The Keweenaw Roller Girls are going to help raise money for victims of domestic violence doing what they do best–skating.

The roller derby team will skate nine miles on May 26th from Esrey Park along M-26 to Copper Harbor as part of the Keweenaw Path fundraiser for the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home.

At the end of the event, everyone meets up for food, music, a silent auction, and a phenomenal cupcake bake-off.

You can help support their effort by purchasing a special Keweenaw Pulse t-shirt, designed by Thimbleberry Slam–Katie Jo Wright.

The design is meant to catch the warm spirit of community engagement as the pulsing heart of this beautiful area.

They are trying to raise at least $350 for the shelter by selling 50 of the t-shirts.

The Keweenaw Path Fundraiser aims to raise funds and awareness for the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter, which serves as a refuge for victims of domestic violence and their children.

The shelter’s services are no cost and provide advocacy, support, and counseling in addition to being a safe place.

The Keweenaw Roller Girls have participated in this fundraiser for the last several years.
