Join the Copper Harbor Trails Club and staff from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources on Thursday, October 5th for the official ribbon cutting for Phase 2 of the Keweenaw Point Trail Project – Keweenaw, Michigan.
While the official ribbon cutting will be held at High Rock Bay at 2 p.m., we are gathering those that want to mountain bike to the ceremony at 12:30 p.m. in front of the Keweenaw Adventure Company.
We will vanpool from town to the start of the singletrack off of Mandan Road and ride to High Rock Bay. If you choose to drive to the ceremony, be sure to allow yourself ample time to get there with a higher clearance vehicle recommended (10 miles from Copper Harbor, 40 minute estimated drive time).
What better reason to be in Copper Harbor on a Thursday during peak fall colors than to celebrate this wonderful project and network with DNR staff? Phase 3 is on the horizon and your support at this event would be greatly appreciated!
