The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club held a dedication ceremony this past Sunday celebrating the rebuilt New River Trail, which is an Eastern section of Trail 4, North of the Hancock Department of Public Works.
The dedication recognized the renovation of the trail, which took two years to complete.
The trail has been used by cross country skiers and snow shoers since early December.
Once Spring arrives, hikers and mountain bikers can also utilize the newly rebuilt trail.
Before the trail was renovated, people rarely used it, due to its poor shape.
Now, more people are expected.
Better views of the creek and all the beaver dam activity, are added bonuses.
