Keweenaw County Seeks Public Advice on Development

Keweenaw County is looking for some direction from residents for its economic development efforts.

Economic Development Committee Chair Todd Holmstrom says his group has been investigating opportunities for a year. They’ve identified some, but would like to know which ones citizens would be most likely to support.

To that end, a survey has been set up on the Keweenaw County web site.

Holmstrom says the committee is also working with the townships to provide paper copies to those who don’t have internet access.

Paper copies may be returned to the county office in Eagle River, or the township offices in Gay, Eagle River, Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor or Mohawk.

Surveys should be returned or filled out online by the end of the year. To access the survey, click here.
