Keweenaw Chamber Office Reopens, as Membership Drive Continues

The Keweenaw Peninsula Chamber of Commerce office is scheduled to reopen today.

The office in the William Hodge Visitor Center at the east edge of downtown Houghton has been closed since an explosion and fire destroyed an adjacent apartment building last month.

The Hodge Visitor Center also houses the Keweenaw Economic Development Alliance.

The chamber also continues its April membership drive. Manager Tara Arens says there’s a financial incentive…

When you join in April, you do get 20 percent off your membership.

Members benefit from local support, and statewide services…

You also have access to the Small Business Association of Michigan, and soon, in May, we’re also going to offer benefits through the Better Business Bureau with our new community partnership program.

Membership fees make up nearly all of the Chamber’s budget. If you’d like to join, stop by the office, or visit Keweenaw.org.
