KBIC Council Election Tomorrow

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community will hold its general election tomorrow. Registered voters can cast their ballots between 10:00 and 6:00. Two council members will be selected from each district.

Candidates in the Baraga District are (in alphabetical order):
• Doreen Blaker (incumbent)
• Robert D. Curtis, Jr. (incumbent )
• Larry Denomie, III
• Sue Ellen “Susie” Elmblad

Candidates in the L’Anse District are:
• Randall Haataja (incumbent)
• Toni J. Minton (incumbent)

Residents of the Baraga District will vote at the Ojibwa Senior Center. L’Anse District residents will vote at the Zeba Community Hall.
