Kayak Comes Loose And Damages Another Vehicle

An Ontonagon County woman’s vehicle was damaged when a kayak came loose on the vehicle ahead of her.

The accident happened shortly after noon on Sunday on M-28 just east of Choate Road.

The kayak became dislodged from the rack on the vehicle being driven by Bessemer resident Rachael Emery.

The kayak then struck the vehicle owned by Sandra Maki of Ewen.

Her vehicle had damage to the front bumper and hood.

No injuries were reported.
