HANCOCK — Start your Midsummer celebration on the right note by attending a special presentation by visiting Finnish artist Minna Hokka on Monday, June 10 at 6 p.m. at the Finnish American Heritage Center.
Hokka is in the Copper Country to teach a variety of workshops about creating musical instruments from natural materials. In Monday’s presentation, she’ll provide examples of the many instruments she can create, and discuss the techniques and traditions behind crafting each instrument.
The program is free and open to the public, and registrations for Hokka’s upcoming classes will be taken at that time. For further information, call (906) 487-7549 or visit Finlandia.edu/juhannus.
