Johnson Resigns from Laurium Council

The Village of Laurium is down one trustee.

Glenn Johnson’s resignation was accepted by fellow village council members at last night’s meeting.

His term was set to expire in November. Citizens interested in running for the position should file by July 26th.

Laurium council members also discussed the possibility of a skate park in the village, and a pay increase for village police officers. A recent police recruitment grant is expected to help with staffing levels.
