Isle Royale Sea Planes Angering Hancock Residents

You’ve probably heard them by now–sea planes on their way to Isle Royale.

Some residents in Hancock have complained to the city council about the noise of these planes as they come off the hill and begin the trip out to Lake Superior.

Others have compared the noise to that of powerboats and snowmobiles and say it simply comes with the territory during summer.

The council discussed the problem at their regular meeting Wednesday but took no official action.
