Iron River Man in Jail Following Stabbing

An Iron River man has been arrested following a stabbing yesterday morning.

The Iron River Police Department was called out to a gas station shortly before 8:00 yesterday. They met the victim, who had a puncture wound and a cut on his face, and superficial stab wounds on his abdomen.

Surveillance video at the gas station revealed the assailant’s identity. He was arrested at his home a short time later, and is being held in the Iron County jail.

Police don’t know what caused the attack, and say the victim did not know the attacker. The suspect’s name will be released after his arraignment.
