An Iron County man wanted in connection with an assault near Gaastra Monday morning has been arrested in Alabama.
Michigan State Police investigators say Caleb Scott Anderson is believed to have attacked a woman while she was running. The woman was able to fight him off, and describe him to a sketch artist.
Anderson is also a suspect in a murder that took place Tuesday morning in Green Bay, and is believed to have stolen the victim’s car.
Warrants have been issued by authorities in both Iron County and Green Bay.
Anderson was picked up yesterday in Helena, Alabama, which is a southern suburb of Birmingham. Officials there say the entire police department had gathered for a training session at city hall when they received a report that he was traveling on County Road 95. More than 20 officers turned out to take him into custody.
