InvestUP Hosts Webinar To Help Businesses Navigate Through Reopening

With certain sectors of the Upper Peninsula and northern parts of the Lower Peninsula, set to reopen after midnight, InvestUP has turned to the international law offices of Miller Canfield, based out of Detroit, to help business owners take advantage of the newly signed executive orders, while doing their part, to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Jacob Hoag, had information on restaurants and bars.

Buffets and self serve drink stations are no longer available.

Customers must also wear masks, unless they are eating or taking a drink.

Leigh Schultz had this to say regarding safeguards in the workplace.

Some of those safeguards include having a designated compliance person, and disinfecting schedules.

Plans do not have to be turned in to any person or agency, but they do have to be readily available to all employees, customers and labor unions by June 1st, or two weeks after you reopen.

If you’re an employee or consumer, and believe you contracted COVID-19 while at work or visiting a restaurant or retailer, Brad Arbuckle had this to say.

A link to the audio portion of the webinar, InvestUP and the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce are here, here and here.
