- Michigan State University, which will receive $228,600 to identify knotweed species in several counties, including Houghton. Information will be used to introduce a biocontrol agent.
- The Iron Baraga Conservation District, which will receive $94,000 to support the Western Peninsula Invasive Species Coalition.
- Michigan Technological University, which will receive $60,000 to enhance educational programs and provide technical support for the Keweenaw Invasive Species Management Area.
