Michigan Tech US News Undergraduate Rankings Rise

Michigan Technological University moved up in the latest US News & World Report annual rankings of undergraduate programs at colleges and universities nationwide.

In rankings released this week, Michigan Tech placed well into the top half of public universities, ranking 53rd in the nation out of 130 public universities.  Last year Michigan Tech ranked 59th.

In the overall rankings of 280 public and private national universities, Tech ranks 118th this year, compared to 123rd last year. National universities offer a full range of undergraduate majors, as well as master’s and PhD programs and emphasize faculty research.

Tech’s undergraduate engineering ranking also rose, from 70th nationwide to 63rd.

“This underscores the value of the undergraduate education we provide at Michigan Tech,” said President Glenn Mroz. “The upward trajectory is good news too.”
