Human Trafficking Awareness Events In Hancock, Houghton & Baraga

Michigan Tech will host one of three meetings in the area of the Upper Peninsula Human Trafficking Task Force along with the Michigan State Police, during Human Trafficking Awareness Month.

The public invited to an open session from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Memorial Union Ballroom B, on the Michigan Tech Campus.

Among those scheduled to speak are Special Agent Todd Wilson from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations, as well as Lt. James Danison, Commander at the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.

There will be time for Q&A following the presentation.

Additional presentations are being held at the Jutila Center tomorrow at 6:30pm and the Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College on Thursday at 5:30pm.
