No one wants to think about the end of summer but the City of Houghton has scheduled their Fall Cleanup.
From September 24th through October 26th, residents of the city may bring acceptable items to the city garage at the corner of Technical Avenue and Gundlach Road and dispose of them in the dumpsters provided.
You’ll find a list of items allowed and not allowed on the City of Houghton website.
The city will continue to accept yard debris through November.
Seniors 65 and older and handicapped residents can contact the city to have their items picked up if they are unable to deliver them themselves.
Pickup days will be Friday, October 12th and Friday, October 26th.
