Houghton Police Looking For Hit & Run Suspect

The Houghton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for a hit and run accident Tuesday.

The accident happened around 2:30pm on Sharon Avenue in Houghton.

The suspect vehicle rear-ended a gold sedan as it was turning into the Sharon Center then left the scene.

The suspect’s vehicle was last seen heading north on M-26.

The driver of the gold sedan was injured and sought their own medical treatment.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older blue Ford truck with red topper and the driver as being an older while male.

The truck may have a possible plate number ending in 964.

The vehicle should also have front end damage from the accident.

Anyone with any information about the identity of the suspect or his vehicle is asked to call the Houghton Police Department at 482-2121.
