UPDATE: Monday 8:31am–The Houghton Police Department reports that, with help from the public and information received, they have located and identified the driver of the truck involved in the hit and run property damage accident from May 22nd. The investigation into the accident is ongoing and charges will be sought through the 97th District Court.
The Houghton Police Department is actively investigating the hit and run personal injury accident that happened on May 22nd.
Police believe the suspect vehicle is a green or blue truck, possibly a Dodge Dakota, with a red topper and was last seen going south on Montezuma Avenue in Houghton at 2:30pm on the day of the accident.
The driver of the vehicle is described as an older white male with a shaved head or possibly bald.
There were also two dogs in the vehicle, believed to be Golden Retrievers.
The truck will have front end damage.
