Houghton Plans Treat Street Tomorrow

The City of Houghton will celebrate Halloween tomorrow afternoon, with the annual Treat Street event.

From 4:00 until 6:00, kids in costumes will be able to trick or treat at participating merchants along Shelden Avenue downtown.

Shelden Avenue will be closed to traffic to assure kids’ safety. Lakeshore Drive will be set up as a detour.

Houghton firefighters will be stationed along the street to provide extra security.

The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce will hold its Halloween Family Fun event tomorrow from 3:00 until 6:00. Kids can enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, a photo booth and treats on the upper level of the parking deck across from the Vault Hotel.
