It may be early in the school year but students from Houghton Middle School are already being introduced to science and engineering studies.
112 7th grade students are taking part in the 5th Annual Day of Science & Engineering today at Michigan Tech.
Nearly a dozen of Tech’s scientists and engineers will be presenting during the event.
The students will split up into groups to learn about Mechanical Engineering, Astronomy, Invasive Plants, Biomechanics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and many other topics.
The program runs from 10am to 2:30pm and is organized by Houghton Middle School science teacher, Sarah Geborkoff.
