Houghton Man Arraigned On Drug Charges

The man arrested in connection with an UPSET drug bust in Houghton County has been arraigned.

Shawn Peterson of Houghton was arraigned in 97th District Court on three counts of delivery or manufacture of marijuana.

He was lodged at the Houghton County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Peterson was arrested on April 5th after UPSET detectives seized approximately 75 lbs. of processed marijuana, 45 marijuana plants and cash from the drug proceeds while executing search warrants at residences in Houghton, Hancock, Calumet and Dodgeville.

Additional arrests are expected.

Peterson is scheduled to appear back in court on April 23rd.
