Twenty-one students from Northern Michigan are being nominated by Congressman Jack Bergman for acceptance into a United States Military Academy.
One of those nominations is Houghton High School’s Dante Cyrus, who was also recently endorsed by Senator Debbie Stabenow.
Each year, members of Congress are tasked with selecting qualified students from their respective districts to attend one of America’s prestigious military academies.
“Having the opportunity to work with the young men and women seeking appointments to one of our nation’s service academies is one of the greatest honors of representing the First District. These impressive students are tomorrow’s leaders, and they have demonstrated their commitment to service and education,” said Bergman. “Seeing first hand the dedication of so many young men and women raised in the First District, I have every confidence that the future of our great nation is bright.”
