The public transit services in both Houghton and Hancock recently passed milestones.
The Michigan Department of Transportation and the Michigan Public Transit Association recently honored the City of Houghton for 40 years of transit operations, and the City of Hancock for 20 years of service.
Brian Kass, U.P. project manager for MDOT’s Office of Passenger Transportation, noted that transit provides vital services to people from all walks of life, and is a lifeline for the elderly and people with disabilities in our communities.
